25 Oct 2022 Anti-Ageing Tips
Repeated and excessive sun exposure can play a major part in visible skin damage and ageing, because collagen and elastin are fibres that give skin its even and youthful appearance are easily damaged by ultraviolet (UV) radiation. There are two types of UV light that harm your skin: UVA and UVB. A broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF15 or preferably higher, protects you from both, preventing signs of skin ageing such as redness, fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness and elasticity, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone and texture.
This is why sunscreen is one of the most important and effective products to use in your anti-ageing skincare routine.
We have three options available in our skincare range:
Daily Defence SPF50 – is a superior sunscreen product that will elevate your sunscreen experience. It’s smooth, lightweight radiant finish will leave your skin feeling protected, illuminated and hydrated. This is the perfect addition to your daily morning skincare routine, especially in summer as it contains SPF50.
SPF50+ Dry Touch Sunscreen – This is a very high protection, UVA & UVB broad spectrum lotion with 4 hours water resistance. Great for any outdoor activities.
Moisturiser with Sunscreen – This light-weight, non-pore clogging moisturiser which includes sunscreen (SPF15) is great for everyday use where there is not a large amount of sun exposure.
A good tip…never rely on the SPF in your makeup, simply because you don’t use enough of it to give you full protection. Layering is the key – apply your SPF and then layer your makeup with SPF over the top.
It is important to remember that clothing, hats, sunglasses, keeping to the shade as much as possible and avoiding excessive exposure of the skin to the sun’s radiation need to be combined with the liberal application of any sunscreen.
